A Social Enterprise that seeks to empower youths in taking ownership and action in addressing real community needs.
Until the enrolling into the Diploma of Business and Social Enterprise in Ngee Ann Polytechnic and being exposed to the different social issues in the world, both our founders were youths who were not aware of these issues present in our community.
As youths, despite having knowledge of these problems, they did not know how to come up with the solutions they needed. What they did know was that in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, camps were the thing and it was full of fun. After brainstorming how to inspire social change with an element of fun. Camp Hiro was born, Hiro meaning GENEROSITY and BIG HEARTED.
In Camp Hiro, we meet people on the ground and finding out what youths can do and what youths should know, and transform this information into a program for youths, by youths.
